How I Started Digital Marketing Journey from Scratch?

Initial Days

Let me share my experience on How I started the Digital Marketing Journey. It’s all started long back when I was working in MNC. At that time I was having some free time even after doing all my project works. That’s where I thought of starting something new.

Started doing research on what all things can be done to start my own business. Came up with various Ideas but was always confuse on how to start it. As I was not having any mentor it was very difficult for me to choose one.

Suddenly a thought came to my mind that one of my relative is doing online business and he was successful. I started linking 2 dots and came up with an idea.

My In laws were having clothing shops where they were selling clothing in women category. I started having conversation with my in-laws and persuading them to help me out in my desire of starting Online Business.

Once I got the go-ahead from them I started registering on online platforms like Snapdeal, Amazon, Flipkart, and others.

At this time i was not knowing anything like Listing, Image Editing, Order Management, Return Management, sending product to customers. It took me time to understand as I have to go through the videos articles shared by respective platforms.

In my case there was a problem, I was knowing most of the things how the business will work but I was not available as I was working in an MNC organization. My in-laws were not aware of anything about computers. It was a huge challenge for me.

To simplify the process, we did the initial investment of buying a Wifi Printer. I was sending the bill on WhatsApp in the morning, and they take the printout of the bill by connecting the printer to wifi. Later they go to the shop and pack the items. The delivery boy comes and takes the parcel.

Intially the orders were less and it was manageable. Once the orders count started increasing it was a headache for my in-laws as they won’t to spend all the time in packing. Slowly it was getting mess and I was unable to handle it.

The business was giving profit and unfortunately, we were unable to manage because the person who knows (that’s me) was not available due to office work. Later after 2 years of struggle, we thought of quitting it.

After closing the first venture, I was sure that someday I will start something new again where the dependency will be less and I can continue with my office work.

Start of Digital Marketing

Now my first venture was a failure but still, I wanted to start something again. Again many ideas flashed on my mind like doing drop-shipping, starting courier service, developing some app, etc. All these were discussed shared with my friends and colleagues, but no luck.

In between, I started gaining interest in doing Blogging and Affiliate Marketing. YouTube helped me out with many things. Finally, I locked down choosing Digital Marketing as my passion.

Now I was in search of Learning Digital Marketing in deep and came across Digital Deepak Internship Program and joined it. The program was so good that I learned a lot of things with respect to Digital Marketing.

I was part of Batch 11 and the total number of participants was 592. Slowly we started learning Digital Marketing and we are also provided with an assignment that was practical. If the assignment was submitted we normally get cashback.

Basically Learning Digital Marketing from the Top Digital Marketer Deepak Kanakaraju was almost free of cost. However adding too much value to our skills.

Indirectly I also checked other Digital Marketing courses but none of them were providing the cashback. This program was completely unique and robust. If I talk about the assignment it was completely based on real practical.

Forget about everything people who are part of DDIP got new jobs in the Digital Marketing field. Isn’t it awesome?

What happen when you complete your course?

• You started earning through the project.
• You got a new job in Digital Marketing.
• You start interacting directly with the decision taker to close the deal.
